My Sierra

You loved us, you protected us, you were loyal to us.
I miss you so much.  I miss your barking at the slam of a car door to let
us know someone was here. I miss you laying at the bottom of my bed
every night.
I miss you laying in the doorways and me tripping over you when I wasn't paying attention.
I miss you getting excited when you heard the lid to the can pop off your dog food.
I miss the 'safeness' you gave me by your presence.  Your big brown eyes and how
they would look to the ground when you knew you did something you were gonna get
in trouble for. I miss your loyalty. I miss you running to greet us at the gate at the end of a long day.
