"Embers of the Phoenix" Restaurant

Last Saturday I was in the downtown area doing a shoot and stopped into this quaint little restaurant called "Embers of the Phoenix".

It was very elegant with white cloth napkins, cloth white table clothes and exposed brick walls, with  a piano bar and a stock filled bar.

There was a bar tender and a woman who Im assuming runs the place sitting at the bar. We had originally just stopped in there to take a quick potty break 

but when i stepped in thru the front door i knew immediately i wanted to shoot in there.

i explained to the woman sitting at the bar doing paperwork that i was a local photographer in the area and would she mind if i took some shots in there. 

She was very kind and had no problem with that. The bar tender was polite and even suggest wonderful martinis for us to try. no need to mention that i will be going down here soon for dinner and a couple of martinis.

if any of one in the quad city area has not stopped by there yet, i definitely encourage you to stop in and  sample the food and the delicious drinks!

Its the kinda of place I'd like to go to, have a martini with a good book

and get lost for awhile staring out the window.
