Caitlin & Icarus

 

Did a quick little shoot with Caitlin and her new friend, Icarus yesterday.

My baby is growing up. Sigh.

I'm not ready for this.

I'm not ready for someone to steal her heart away yet. I'm not ready for her to learn about

sadness, heartaches and all the ugly things that come with your first love.

I'm not ready for late nights sitting up with her, soothing her heart if it gets broken.

I guess that's part of growing up. I still want to protect her from all the nastiness and meanness in the world though. I still want to shelter her in my loving arms and when the world gets to be too much, I always want her to know she has a safe haven in my arms.
