Sunday is.......

Sunday is....

getting up earlier than i usually do

frigid temps and sparkling ice glued to the windows

howling winds fighting there way

 in through creaks and window sills

its de-cluttering the house and the head today

shaking out all the cobwebs and stepping outside for a 

reprieve and rushing back in as quickly as i can before freezing to death

it's baking a cake and the aroma filling the house

its chocolate frosting and catching up with friends on the phone

~~~~~~~~~~~~

its silence except for the ticking of the clock

winding its way toward evening and

 baby blue skies deceiving your eyes and chasing shadows

its the cat roaming from room to room

a constant whining because she can't go outside

and staying in my pjs all day

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

its wishing for spring to arrive

and a stack of books on my nightstand still

begging to be read

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

its felling accomplished that my new website is up and running!
