caitlin woke up crying and sick...our regular doctor is out on maternity leave so i had to take her up to the ER...before we left she ended up with a shot in the butt and two antibiotics. i don't know what was in the shot she had to have but it made her sicker than before we went in there...

today she is better.....

its so hard as a parent to see your child in pain..

 thursday is spits of rain, teasers until the real stuff comes in over the weekend and turning to ice...ice storms are pretty the way they form on the bare branches of trees and drop low to the ground...not so pretty when they coat the electrical lines and we lose power...

then its candles flickering all thru the house...

reading in corners and blankets piled high...

hoping as the other 2000 people in the area are that the power will be restored as quickly as it can....

ive settled in with the fact that the holidays are over, they came and went in such a flurry i wonder if i didn't blink and miss the whole thing.

sleep has been short in demand all week long. i'm up and down all thru the night, and dreamless.

im getting restless to shoot, restless to see my friends, restless sitting in the house....

im restless...

restless and weary...

the most i can muster up enough energy to do is perhaps make it to the bookstore, and grocery shopping...i haven't seen my mom in a couple weeks, which is very rare for me...

and the guilt is starting to search for a place to squeeze in...

we are possibly looking at an ice storm this weekend, so i think i'll head up to the store and stock up on a few things, just to be safe. i hate being stranded inside the house, but what can you do...at least i'll  get in lots of tv time and reading...
