Peace and Love

some days are so good you can't help but laugh with a silly smile plastered on your face all day long. you dance to the music in your head even if everyone is watching, you go out of your way to be kind and compassionate and that guy that ran you off the road, you just look over and smile and continue on with your day 

i love days like this...i soak them in like a sponge

but we all know, as we go through life there will be days we struggle to crawl through them.

for quite a while now, i have been lost,

going through the emotions of peace, fulfillment in my soul and tranquility

searching desperately for it. 

i thought that i could fill up that empty space with a person, an object, something that would fuel my soul to new heights and keep it there...

but...i was wrong....

you can't find happiness in another person or in going on a shopping spree

you can't find it in that new lipstick color you bought or that new dress hanging in your closet.

peace and happiness come from having God in your heart. he is the only way  your soul will be completely and utterly free and full....trust me...i've tried it every other way there is,

if you don't have a relationship with Christ as your Savior you will always be searching for "that" something that can fill that gaping hole in your heart.

we are all living in a fallen world, every time you turn around you hear something bad, evil surrounding us everywhere we turn.

the only way to get rid of that devil sitting on your shoulder is to kick him to the curb, turn your back and walk away....

hes very good at this job, but you are tougher because you have the spirit of Christ dwelling in you....

we all have adversities that we are going to have to face in this world, but what a relief it is to know that when i do stumble (and i will) God is there to pick me up and get me right again...he erases my slate clean to start over every new day i step out of bed.

God's mercy is new every morning. every single morning you wake up, mercy is waiting for you. (Jeremiah 31:34)

well i don't know about you, but i know im pretty dang happy about that...

so please friends, be kind, be compassionate

sometimes all someone needs is a kind word, or a hug

be that person, be that light in the world.

put yourself out there, and put others needs before your own...

i promise.....

the day will be brighter!
