Nonsense Ramblings
february is on her way out the door and march is blowing in with warm temperatures and possibly thunderstorms today.
I am all over the place today, trying to focus on just one thing but my mind is wandering. and my feet are shuffling from room to room...
taking photos, bible study, doing anything but the things i should be doing; laundry, washing the dishes, hopping in the shower, but instead i've been glued to photoshop all day, playing, creating art and writing blog posts.
its quiet, the only sound heard is the tapping of the keys on the computer. my mind is drifting off to yesterday and wondering how my friend is holding up after burying her brother, its glancing at the calendar the chores of things to do tomorrow are jumping out at me....
and i'm just longing for settlement in my soul.
just a piece of quiet, and a stolen moment to ponder on....
the birds are chirping no doubt anticipating the storm that is heading our way in a few hours.
the windows are open and there is a coolness blowing over my bare feet, i need to find some fuzzy socks to slip into

yesterday across the street they cut down all the trees in front of the houses, today i get up, look outside and they are cutting down the ones across the street on the other side...i can't imagine why and it doesn't settle with me well. when i first moved into this house 17 years ago they were but little sticks poking out of the ground. in the last 17 years they grew to be quite big and their branches reached up toward the sky. now i look outside and it's bare, empty
it doesn't look right, it doesn't feel right....i wish the city hadn't done that. now there is no where to hide, no where to enclose yourself, the street stands exposed now, i don't like it.

with the expected and welcomed warm weather we had in february she had me dreaming of spring, pastel colors of pinks and blues, easter egg hunts and the birth of baby chicks. i love easter, it is one of my favorite holidays. i love the warm weather that comes with it, the throwing off the heavy for the lighter, the color that spurts from the ground almost overnight, and the tulips...i love tulips...
im eagerly awaiting to see what March will bring us.
XOXO
