my girl Cate

she was unexpected, and unprepared for.

but oh what a blessing and joy she has been

I watched videos of her the other night when she was little

she was so happy

dancing and laughing, doing her own little thing

a child caught up in the happiness of herself and family

unaware of the cruelty of the world yet.

this last year has been an emotional struggle for her

she battles with severe depression and extremely high anxiety issues.

~~~~~~~~~~~

most days she lays in her room, in the dark, listening to music.

she doesn't want to go anywhere anymore

the only thing she does is text on her phone

occasionally i can get her out of the house

on the surface she looks fine

but underneath she is a disaster waiting to explode.

i took her to the doctors a couple of months ago

and she prescribe Prozac for her. At first the meds really seem to work

she seemed okay, she was laughing and smiling again, if only for a short time

then.....

she stopped taking the meds....

and now it's worse than ever.

i can't get her into the Doctor until tomm

~~~~~~~~~~~~

i just want my fun, happy go lucky girl back

i want to see her smile

and fill the house with laughter again.
