Weekend...here and then gone.....

it's been a busy filled weekend with a lot of shooting going on

a little time for reading before bed last night and as i sit here at my computer i can hear my bed calling me to come in and cozy in under the covers to warm up

its was warm yesterday and today but this evening winter is still letting us know she is here...she is angry  i think because spring is trying to push her out...tonight though, she is not having it....

Im aching to get out on my screened in-back porch with the dust pan and broom. I'm ready to start filling up a cart at the local greenery soon and filling in nooks and crannies with flowers and green plants....

Im ready to resume my morning routine of summer with my morning coffee and journal on the back porch...and the sounds....im ready for the sounds of summer

im ready to not wear any shoes and run my toes in lush green grass....

and take Polaroids of hazy pink sunsets...

and twirl with alayna in gorgeous light......

living in the midwest you never know what kind of weather you are going to get. one day can be a blizzard, the next week its raining...

this has been an unusually warm winter for us this year....which i am not complaining about at all....

usually by the end of february it takes all i have to crawl out of bed in the mornings to face another cold day either stuck in the house, or wrapping up in layers if i have to venture outside.

this year though. she's different. winter this year has been calm and almost inviting. some days im happy she's here so that i may cuddle on the couch wrapped in my pink cozy blanket as im flipping through netflix trying to find a movie....or engrossed into a good book....

im ready for her to leave now though. Im ready to greet spring with open arms and lay in bed listening to thunderstorms....glance out my window at the buds on the trees and the tulips raising up from the ground....

Yep its definitely time for Spring.
