One Summer Evening.....Sunday

took a nice stroll around the neighborhood after dinner tonight
i love the neighborhood i live in...its old, established and the houses
were made better back in 1926
they have curved door openings, built in cabinets, hardwood floors
they are cozy, homey...

my mom and sister came over for dinner and we grilled out steaks....so good!

fresh IOWA sweet corn (the best)

 baked potatoes we cooked on the grill as well and loaded them with 

butter, sour cream, chives (the works)

....enjoyed family time with no arguing, thats a plus at my house....especially between my sister and I

it was warm today and humid but thankfully not as bad as it has been for the last few weeks....

im actually looking forward to Autumn coming soon....

im ready for sweater - weather 

bon-fires and open windows and doors

evening strolls with crisp breezes

and home-made soups simmering on the stove....

i do love summer but she can definitely have an attitude

......so i hope she can be nice for a while longer

there are still a few events coming up this summer i'd like to attend and i can't do that

when she is roasting me over an open fire...
