the sights, the sounds of December
yesterday i was greeted by my 57th birthday, (geeze thats hard to write) and warm sunshine rays beaming through the windows. and i believe a high temp of 57 degrees, which is considerably warm for the midwest in December. But i heard that next week mother nature is bringing in her gusty December winds and cold temps.
but today is 60 degrees! its a day of cleaning, catching up on laundry and slowing down. last month was quite hectic with my mom in the hospital 3 times, and it was touch and go there for a while, plus cram in Thanksgiving when Im hosting dinner it was a crazy month and i can honestly say good-bye to november 2017.

yesterday was shooting down in the East Village for their Annual Christmas Walk. I went down early before the festivities began to walk around and get some shots in before the streets were bombarded with people. did a little wine tasting at the Wild River Winery, and out of the 5 wines I tried, I loved them all! will definitely be picking up a few bottles for the holidays. Spent some time peeking in the little shops that line the streets like little cozy cottages and got cheery for the holiday season, even though the weather is trying to convince me otherwise.

yesterday was a day of things breaking, the washing machine wouldn't spin dry the clothes, went to burn a CD for a client, nope, it crapped out on me and my computer is not even a year old...not happy about that.
outside someone is mowing when we should be shoveling this time of year.
windows are open and heat is turned down. christmas decor lines the streets and the last of autumn leaves are piled against the curb.
moving forward...always moving forward.
