sunday was....

Sunday is...

waking up at 4am and sitting on the back porch

smoking a cigarette and writing in my journal

soaking in the quietness before the world wakes up...

back to bed till 9am and then up again to be assaulted by unbearable heat and humidity... ugh...im  really getting sick of summer....

im ready for autumn...

im ready to watch the leaves turn into vibrant oranges, yellows and browns and

im ready for halloween and to scatter white pumpkins and fall leaves

around the house...im ready to smell cinnamon candles

and cozy up on the couch with a good book and hazelnut coffee

..................

but for today my mom and i battled the heat 

which turned us into crabby bitches

and we sweated while shopping for fresh produce at the farmers market

and after carrying in loads of groceries i collapsed into the chair

beads of sweat on the back of my head..

later in early evening after the sun had gone down i walked outside with my camera and tried to get some shots of the lightening...impossible...for me anyway....

so i stomped into the house an unhappy girl

...it was everyone fending for themselves for dinner

and downloading Windows 10...so far im pretty happy with it....

..............................

right now im anxiously waiting for a promised thunderstorm to arrive and 

rush in a cool front....so over this heat already....
