Weekend Tidings
Saturday brought in winter with her angry winds and colder temps....sorry to see autumn leave...she was very pleasant this year bringing us lots of sunshine and warm temps...
most of the trees now stand bare...
now i just have to grit my teeth and bare through the next 4 months....yikes...
the only thing i like about winter is shooting in it after a gorgeous mountain of falling snow has coated everything in a blanket of white....
depending on how cold it is, if its in the 30s, yes, im out there, otherwise i peer at her beauty from the window and the warmth of my home....
caught up with a dear friend from high school last week and met for lunch yesterday. such a blessing to be reunited with old friends from the past. and we forgot to do a selfie, of all things, lol....definitely have to sneak that in next time as im hoping to be seeing a lot more of her beautiful smile and gracious self...
today brings 2 shoots but at least the wind has died down some so it won't seem so brutal out there...yesterday the wind practically picked you up and carried you...i don't like being out when its that cold but i do however love to lay in my bed, wrapped in tons of blankets, leaving the window open a bit and listening to her belt through my wind chimes and whispering in the air...
its calming....
i love that i live somewhere that has 4 seasons...although winter could do me a big favor and not stick around so long...
summer was brutal this year with her blazing heat and humidity so i was stuck inside a lot. after coming way to close to a heat stroke a few years ago im very careful in the heat now, it just makes me too sick...
im hoping this winter to get in more shoots outside. people don't realize how gorgeous winter light is...she is soft and its like shooting inside a huge white box....
i also am biting at the bit to do more "DOCUMENTARY' shoots inside peoples homes. you don't realize how precious a normal day at home can be and how much you will treasure these casual photos in 5 years...you don't have to worry about staging your home, i want the REAL, THE RAW, of you and your family....
so serious peeps, put some deep thought into this...
lets do this!
XOXO
